Tourists come from all over British Columbia to enjoy the float between our two beautiful lakes. Voted of the Top 10 Travel Destinations for 2012, visitors enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and small-town feel that Penticton offers. With over 60 wineries within a 20 minutes drive, local farmers markets, beautiful beaches and loads of festivals and events throughout the year, we have something for everyone.
Of course, we are also home to one of the most iconic long course triathlons in the world, but then you knew that alrerady!
There was once a time when the only way to get to Penticton & Wine Country was riding a packhorse over mountain trails or taking the beautiful S.S. Sicamous Sternwheeler from Vernon down the length of Okanagan Lake. We are happy to report that via technological advancements, getting here has become a much speedier endeavour.
